The
Proceedings of the Conference will be published in a (strictly refereed)
special volume in the AMS series
Contemporary Mathematics,
edited by C. Athanasiadis, V. Batyrev, D. Dais, M. Henk, and F. Santos .

Those
participants who are interested in submitting a paper for the special
volume, are kindly requested to contact one of the organizers by e-mail
(manuscripts should be submitted
electronically by November 30, 2005). Included with the footnotes
to the paper should be the
2000 Mathematics
Subject Classification representing the primary and secondary
subjects of the article. The Mathematics Subject Classification footnote
may be followed by a list of key words and phrases describing the

The
submissions should contain either recent original research relevant to
the themes of the Conference or an exposition of new developments in a
particular field of focus, and should consist of a paper and an
abstract. The paper can be either a full paper with complete proofs or
an extended abstract of at least 4 pages containing full results, an
outline of the proofs and all of the main ideas. The paper and the
abstract should be in English.
The abstract will be used to organize the refereeing, and should give
sufficient details to understand the significance of the contribution
and address the paper to a proper referee. (A bad abstract might result
in a wrong choice, and cause the rejection of an otherwise acceptable
contribution.) Already published papers or papers submitted elsewhere
are not acceptable.
