Aims and Scope:

The School Lluís Santaló 2012 is intended as a comprehensive overview on recent advances in the study of the complexity of algorithms that solve non--linear equations (Smale's 17th problem). The School focuses both on the Complexity of Approximate (Numerical) and Exact (Symbolic/Geometric) Algorithms in Algebraic Geometry, as on the Foundations of its Complexity.

The School is oriented to graduate mathematicians, as to Master or Ph. D. students in Mathematics and to senior researchers interested on this topic.
