Location
The workshop will be held in Krakow
(Poland),
one of the leading scientific and cultural centres of Poland. The
city is located at the south of the country (see map below).
Krakow has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish
scientific, cultural and artistic life. As a former national capital,
with a history stretching back over a thousand years, the city remains
the spiritual heart of Poland.
Famous landmarks include:
- Main Market Square: it is the main square of the Old Town, Krakow. It dates back to the 13th century and is claimed to be the largest (200 by 200 meter square) medieval town square in Europe. It is included in the World Heritage Sites list. It also contains St. Mary's Basilica and the Sukiennice Cloth Hall. In December 2005, this square was voted the World's Best Square by the "Project for Public Spaces"
- Wawel Castle: a royal residence and the site where the country's rulers governed Poland for five centuries from centuries XI to XVI. It is located in Wawel Hill, near other famous buildings (such as Wawel Cathedral). The whole place is included in the World Heritage Sites list.

Conference venue
The Conference venue is of ICCS 2008 is the Qubus hotel in Krakow, Poland.
ICCS'2008 organizers have booked in the hotel 120 guest rooms with a room rate of 120 EUR (single), 130 EUR (double) including breakfast.
Participants should make their own lodging
arrangements in the Qubus hotel
(for the ICCS 2008 conference), as well as in other hotels in Krakow.
