 Research Interests:
Numerical analysis, algorithms of continuous and discrete mathematics.

I have been awarded the Jose Luis Rubio de Francia prize and the Stephen Smale prize. Together with Jordi Marzo and Quim Ortega-Cerdà we have received the Journal of Complexity Award 2016 for our paper “Energy and discrepancy of rotationally invariant determinantal point processes in high dimensional spheres”.

I participate in different organizational activities, as a member of the FoCM Board and the Comisión de Investigación the Real Sociedad Matemáticas Española (RSME). I am the director of the Centro Internacional de Encuentros Matemáticos (CIEM, Castro Urdiales).
