How to reach Facultad de Ciencias from your Hotel


This is the Santander map, with the hotels and the faculty marked in red.

The best way to get to the faculty is by taxi or by bus.


By taxi

 Taxis are not expensive: if you share a taxi between 3 persons it will cost
you approximately the same as going by bus.

 The travel duration by taxi is 10-15 minutes from Bahía and 5-10 min
from NH, depending on the traffic conditions.

 It is a bit cheaper if you get the taxi at a taxi stop instead of asking
for a taxi at the hotel. There is a stop very close to Hotel Bahía
(in front of Correos). There is also a taxi stop at less than 10 minutes
walking distance from NH Hotel (the closest stops are at Plaza Ría
de la Pila and General Mola street). Of course, a good number of taxis
are circulating by the streets of the city center, and it is easy to fetch
one.

By bus

 Another option is to take the bus,  Line C7-2

 The price of the ticket is 1.20 Euros

  This is a map of all bus lines in Santander. Line C-7 is colored in
orange.

   The nearest bus stop to Hotel Bahia is Correos and the nearest stop to
NH Hotel is Puertochico, which is at Paseo de la Pereda (by the bay).
The closest stop to Facultad de Ciencias is Escuela S. Ing. de Caminos.
The duration of the travel from Correos to Escuela S. Ing. de Caminos
is around 20 min, and around 15 min from Puertochico.  After stepping
down at Escuela S. Ing. de Caminos keep on walking on the same direction
for 5 minutes and you will reach Facultad de Ciencias.

  The time table of buses will change next July 1st and it is not available at
the web page so far. From my experience, the frequency will be around 20 min.

By foot

Hotel NH is relatively close to the Faculty. It is approximately
at a 20 minutes walking distance, depending on the way (you can go
through the tunnel or up the hill).

 Hotel Bahia is at 10-15 minutes walking distance from NH and around
30 minutes from the Faculty.
