- Some papers of this workshop have been selected  for publication (in extended and improved form) in the journal Future Generation Computer Systems, Special Issue on Computer Graphics and Geometric Modeling, Vol. 20, Issue 8, pp. 1235-1387 (2004).
- It was a part of the International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications, ICCSA'2003.
- It included a special session on CAD/CAM chaired by Prof. Deok-Soo Kim (Hanyang University, South Korea).

- The workshop's paper:
   "Consistent Spherical  Parameterization" by Arul Asirvatham, Emil Praun and Hugghes Hoppe
won the ICCS'2005 Best Student Paper Prize. It was presented by Arul Asirvatham.
