Camera-Ready Instructions

Congratulations for the acceptance of your paper and thank you very much for choosing Springer-Verlag to publish your results. In this page you can find the instructions on:

  1. How to prepare your Camera-Ready
  2. Final instructions before sending the files
  3. How to send it and what should be sent
  4. Copyright form
  5. Your paper ID

1. CAMERA-READY INSTRUCTIONS

Below you can find the Camera-Ready Instructions for preparing the final version of your accepted papers. Please, be careful in this process. Your paper has been reviewed in terms of originality, relevance, significance and technical accuracy. However, your final version will be checked again to assure that it follows the Springer-Verlag guidelines.

Please observe that using Springer's style is a must. The paper should be formatted in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science format, in accordance with Springer-Verlag's Instructions to the Authors.

For your convenience, the instructions are provided to you  in .pdf format at:

http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/instruct/typeinst.pdf

The corresponding LaTeX classes and MS Word templates for typesetting your paper are available on the Web site:

http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html

I advice you to download them from the ZIP archive. With some Web browsers the templates may be destroyed during transfer. Thus it is better to download the ZIP archive.

2. FINAL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SENDING THE FILES

- Some of you were suggested to review the English of your papers. This point will be checked again. Please, be careful with the English of your paper. If you are not sure of your proficiency in English, please have your paper revised by somebody else, otherwise it will not be finally accepted.

- Before sending the figures, be sure that they can be printed without troubles. Some graphical editors add non-standard lines at the beginning and the end of the files. Be sure that your files do not incorporate any of them.

- Please, remember that the references must be given in full (including, if applicable, Vol., Issue, Place of publishing, year, initial and final number of pages, editors, etc.)

- The paper must be restricted from 6 to 10 pages.

- Avoid to include the option "reverse order" when generating the .ps files.

- Figures should be in standard .eps format.

- Do not include non-standard fonts anywhere.

- Do not include macros except those provided directly by Springer.

3. SENDING THE CAMERA-READY. HOW TO SEND IT AND WHAT SHOULD BE SENT.

A. PAPERS FORMATTED WITH LATEX

Please ensure that you submit the following ELECTRONICALLY, to iglesias@unican.es:

 - source file of camera-ready paper (LaTeX .tex file STRICTLY),
 - the DVI file of your paper
 - the corresponding PostScript or PDF file (in camera-ready form),
 - all the figures in the paper as EPS files (one file for each figure).

Please, be sure that the source file and the .ps or .pdf file are absolutely identical. The names of the source files have to be in the following format:

    <PaperID>.tex

For example, if the paper ID is 26 (see below for your paper ID), the source file name would be Paper26.tex. Each author will be notified his/her corresponding Paper ID.

The name of the PostScript or PDF file have to be in the format:

     <PaperID>.ps or <PaperID>.pdf

For example, Paper26.ps .

For all figures, name them in the following format:

     <PaperID>-fig<two-digit number>.eps

For example, Paper26-fig01.eps, Paper26-fig02.eps .

After preparing the files for your submission, put them into a TAR archive, and compress it with either GZIP or the UNIX Compress, and give the GZIP'ed TAR archive the following name:

     <PaperID>.tar.gz

As there is a variety of ZIP formats, we do not encourage the use of ZIP for archiving and compression.  If you must use it, use your paper ID for the name of the file, with the .zip extension.

For formatting your paper, we strongly encourage you to using LaTeX. Springer-Verlag will be creating an electronic copy of the proceeding as well.  In this electronic copy of the proceeding, only papers formatted with LaTeX2e will be hyperlinked.

Please DO NOT add page numbers to your paper, and please DO NOT add headings and footings to the paper.

DO NOT submit your paper in more than one .tex file.  If your paper is in a few .tex files, put the contents into ONE .tex file, and submit only ONE .tex file.

Final versions of papers (including the .TEX, .DVI, .PS files) should be sent to the workshop chairman not later than  February 26. Please note that this is a STRICT DEADLINE, in order to ensure that the proceeding will be published promptly and ready for distribution at the Conference. Otherwise, we cannot assure the publication.

B. PAPERS FORMATTED WITH MS WORD

We do not encourage the use of MS Word, particularly as the layout of the pages (the position of figures and paragraphs) can change from printout to printout. However, Springer-Verlag does provide the template sv-lncs.dot (for use with PC systems) or sv-lncs (for use with Macintosh systems) to help MS Word users to prepare their camera-ready manuscripts. Please, if you choose this option be sure you do not change the Springer layout and format anywhere.

After finishing your paper, please ensure that you submit the following ELECTRONICALLY, to iglesias@unican.es:

 - the corresponding PostScript or PDF file of the source file (in camera-ready form),
 - all the figures in the paper as EPS files (one file for each figure).

Final versions of papers (including the .DOC, .PDF or .PS file, and .EPS of the figures) should be sent to the workshop chairman not later than  February 26. Please note that this is a STRICT DEADLINE, in order to ensure that the proceeding will be published promptly and ready for distribution at the Conference.
