Félix Fanjul-Vélez was born in Santander (Spain). He received the Master Engineering and the PhD degrees from the University of Cantabria (Spain). Presently he is associate professor at the University of Cantabria (Spain). He is author or co-author of more than 50 journal articles and conference proceedings. Dr. Félix Fanjul-Vélez is member of the Optical Society of America (OSA), the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) and the European Photonics Platform Photonics21. His main research interests are Biomedical Engineering, specially optical treatment and optical characterization of biological tissues, polarization of light, light propagation in turbid media, optical communications and non-linear optics applications.
